    History of The Direct Group

    Direct Parts Ltd was formed in 1993 by the majority of the current Group Board of Directors. After being extremely successful in the Coach and Bus Industry with Power Steering and Hydraulic Fan equipment the product portfolio was expanded to include Hydraulics for Industry and Off Highway in 1995, at this point Direct Ltd was formed.

    It’s not surprising to understand that with rapid expansion in these market sectors that we needed our own machining facility. In 2002, Direct Development Engineering Ltd was created to support the expanding business, working out of its own fully equipped machining facility.

    The Group structure was completed when in 2006, Direct Hydraulic Services Ltd was developed to enable further company growth. This new company provided in-house and onsite Hydraulic Fabrication repair and refit capabilities from its own factory near the rest of the group in Cheddleton, Staffordshire.

    Technical Expertise

    The Group’s technical knowledge is extensive and we are able to utilise professional engineering capabilities from each Group company to present our unique range of integrated products and services. This also allows is to work with many world-leading original equipment parts suppliers.

    Working with some of the best technicians in the UK across steering hydraulics, braking, machining and fabrication is a distinct benefit to our customer base. Full product builds and test training is always undertaken by qualified staff.

    Our programme of ongoing training encompasses in-house development through to apprenticeships providing a range of qualifications.

    Future Vision

    With continually evolving vehicle and industrial needs the Group has structures in place to ensure its companies continue to provide a service in line with customer requirements.

    The Group has started to develop new lines of product for the Vehicle Recovery Industry, and more on our vehicle hydraulic components program will be initiated.

    Direct Ltd searches out products from all over the world to satisfy major “Blue Chip” companies throughout the UK and including the offshore sector.

    Direct Development Engineering Ltd ensures excellent continuity to within the group for Top Quality machined products. It also has an impressive list of clients across the North Midlands.

    Direct Hydraulic services ltd offers the highest technical support programs for the complete Hydraulic Installation and repair programs.
