On Friday last week I finally cashed in my voucher to experience one of the worlds fastest and longest Zip Wire experiences, I believe in the world (the UK anyway)at the Velocity Zip World in Wales.

I thought it would be nice to share my experience with you and to tell you if you have the opportunity to do it “just do it”!

I can’t explain the fear I felt in the car park as I looked up at the launch station, I am in no way a thrill seeker or an adrenaline junky but I am so glad that I did it.

As you are set free from your starting post you just glide slowly accelerating down the wire (to speeds reportedly of over 80 miles an hour) , surrounded by breathtaking views you hardly notice the plunging depths that are beneath you and the vividly coloured lake that you drift over as you enter into the landing station with a bit of a thud as you are brought to a halt.  I truly was so chuffed with myself and as I had been told, like a child in a fairground could have happily run round to the start and had another go.

The team are fantastic at their job and the reassurance at all stages of the experience was second to non.
