25 Years in Business….

Direct Parts Limited is celebrating long and hard over the next few months because if you haven’t already heard we are approaching “25 years” in business.  Our official date is 16th July but we’ve already started our celebrations.

It feels such a momentous feat to have reached this milestone after battling with several recessions and now Brexit that a small company from humble beginnings as managed to plough on and continue to grow and diversify in this difficult market sector.

On Friday 6th July we closed up early and with close friends, family, colleagues, clients and The Leek Town Mayor and Mayoress, Cllr. Roy and Mrs. Pat Tomkinson, we held a buffet reception at the factory, before heading off to the Churnet Valley Railway in Cheddleton for “The Real Ale Train” event held annually at the locally run station just a short walk away. We were well looked after by the team which are mostly volunteers who are members of the North Staffordshire Railway Company (1978) Ltd, the charity that rescued Cheddleton Station 40 years ago and helped to establish both the railway and a heritage collection.  (You can find out more on www.churnetvalleyrailway.co.uk – as they offer various events throughout the year well worth a visit).  The sun shone the skies were bright blue and plenty of ale was sampled on the journey incorporating the other two stations (Consall and Froghall) on the way as we meandered through the beautiful landscape of the Staffordshire Moorlands we were able to take in the breath taking views, before the party was taken into the local town of Leek.

Roy Kendrick – Managing Director said – “It was fabulous to have had the opportunity to share the day with some great people and hopefully we will enjoy many more years of business.  I look forward to the next events planned in the calendar”.

We will be featuring in the following publications if you are interested to read more:

We would like to extend our thanks further to everyone who took the time out of their busy schedules to come and join us with our celebrations.

Roy and Phil will be traveling the country catching up with a few business acquaintances and friends over the next few months to extend their thanks in person.

Roy also said “We the Directors recognise that non of this has been achievable without the hard-work of all the staff at The Direct Group and we thank you all for your loyalty and service over the years, and the continued support from the Bus and Coach industry.”

We have received a few lovely messages over the last few weeks which we would like to share as they endorse our commitment to you the customer:
